THE INTELLIGENCE BEHIND VIQTORY

UNDERSTAND THE SCORE.
SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE.

Viqtory turns sports performance into team ratings, matchup context, and player research. Each part of the app answers a different question. Here’s what goes into the analysis, how to use it, and how we evaluate the results.

ONE APP. DIFFERENT QUESTIONS.

WHAT THE NUMBERS TELL YOU

TEAM RATINGS & POWER RANKINGS

How strong is this team?

We combine sport-specific performance, offensive and defensive production, and recent results. Opponent quality and schedule context help distinguish a strong performance from an easy matchup. Early-season estimates may also draw on prior-season information while the current sample grows.

Use ratings to compare teams within the same league. A rating is a strength score, not a win percentage.

GAME PREVIEW & GAME IQ

How do these teams match up?

Team strength is the starting point. Matchup analysis adds available game context, such as home field, recent form, rest, and the relevant offensive and defensive units. Season statistics describe the teams; game statistics describe that specific contest.

Use the overview to orient yourself, then explore the detailed unit and player comparisons.

BET IQ · GAMES

Where does the assessment differ?

Game research puts Viqtory’s matchup assessment beside the market’s implied probability. The edge measures the difference between those assessments. A positive edge is a research signal; it does not mean the team will win by that amount.

Read the matchup, compare available sportsbook prices, and judge the evidence behind the difference.

BET IQ · PROPS & SCORERS

What supports this player’s line?

Recent game logs, opportunity, and available projections help put a player’s market line in context. Last-five charts show actual recent production. A stat-based prop edge compares an estimated stat total with the posted line; scorer markets instead involve scoring probabilities.

Keep the units in mind: a yardage difference, a probability difference, and a last-five hit rate describe different things.

FANTASY IQ

Who fits your next lineup?

Fantasy research combines production and opportunity with available matchup context. Weekly points show what happened; projections estimate what may happen next. Floor, boom, and recent-form views offer different ways to compare your options. Connected Sleeper leagues use their league results for scored points.

Compare players under the same scoring format. Projection accuracy is measured in fantasy-point error, not a betting win rate.

CROWD IQ

What does the community think?

Crowd IQ reflects submitted rankings and votes. It gives you a community perspective alongside the statistical research, with a different source and purpose from Viqtory’s calculated team ratings.

Compare community opinion with the data and update your own rankings as results come in.

BUILT AROUND THE SPORT

DIFFERENT GAMES. RELEVANT INPUTS.

The information that matters changes by sport and by available coverage. We explain the categories of evidence while keeping the proprietary weighting, transformations, and equations private.

MEASURED AGAINST RESULTS

ACCURACY NEEDS CONTEXT.

There isn’t one accuracy percentage for the whole app. Winner forecasts, ranking order, fantasy projections, and betting results each need their own evaluation.

NCAAF · HISTORICAL RESEARCH

A documented test of our ranking research

These are retrospective results for the balanced NCAAF research candidate, evaluated on completed games with predictions generated using earlier results. They are not a live app record or a record of winning bets.

Winner forecasts

Track correct and incorrect pregame forecasts, the number of games, and the evaluation period. Probability quality also asks whether predicted chances line up with actual outcomes.

Fantasy projections

Compare a saved pregame projection with scored fantasy points under the same rules. Report average point error by position and week. No verified aggregate accuracy figure is published here yet.

Props & betting results

A valid record needs the exact selection, line, price, and pregame timestamp, followed by a graded result. A ranking win or a recent hit rate is not a substitute. No verified overall betting win rate is published here.

PUT THE NUMBERS IN CONTEXT.

Explore the matchup, compare recent production, and use the evidence to inform your next decision.

Team ratings questions

How are team ratings different from standings?

Standings summarize wins and losses. Ratings aim to put performance into context using the inputs and methodology described on the Models page. A higher rating does not guarantee the next result.

Can I compare ratings across different sports?

League models use different inputs and scales. Compare teams within the same league and methodology rather than treating a basketball score as equivalent to a football score.

Is a team rating a win probability?

No. A rating is an assessment of team strength. A matchup probability and a betting edge are separate concepts and require additional assumptions and context.

What should I check alongside a team rating?

Review opponent strength, recent form, injuries, availability, and the upcoming schedule. If using ratings for betting research, also check the actual market price.
